Precision in Harmonic Trading – The MTC Harmonic Ratio Helper

My Subscribers should use the MTC Harmonic Helper (free subscriber version). Code is availible in Subscriber Area!

In harmonic trading, fractions of a percent often decide between success and failure. We all know the struggle: You draw the Fibonacci tool, measure XA, AB, BC... and then start flipping through tables or PDFs.

Say good bye to "Was the Bat limit 0.618 or 0.886? Does the B-retracement actually fit this pattern?"

To professionalize this process and eliminate sources of error, the Mustermanns Traders Club presents the MTC Harmonic Ratio Helper.

This tool is not an automatic scanner that throws random patterns onto your chart. It is a precision calculator and validation assistant for traders who draw their patterns themselves but demand mathematical certainty. It guides you step-by-step from the first wave to the perfect PRZ (Potential Reversal Zone).

Here is the guide on how to use the tool efficiently:

Step 1: Getting Started:

After adding the indicator to the chart, begin your analysis as usual by manually drawing or measuring your waves. To start the calculator, you need to open the settings.

  • Simply click on the gear icon next to the indicator name in the top left corner of the chart.
Step 1
Step 1

Step 2: The "Early Bird" Mode

You have measured the first move (X to A) and the first retracement (A to B)? Perfect.

  • Enter your measured value into the "XB Retracement" field (e.g., 0.867).
  • The Special Feature: The indicator immediately filters its database. It shows you in the panel on the right only those patterns that are mathematically still possible (e.g., Henry-David or Strong Henry).
  • You can see immediately where the journey might go, even before the pattern is finished.
Step 2
Step 2

Step 3: Refining the Analysis

The market moves on and forms point C.

  • Now enter the value for "AC Extension" (e.g., 0.883).
  • The list in the info panel updates in real-time.
  • Patterns that do not allow this specific C-move are immediately discarded.
  • You save yourself the trouble of looking up PDF lists manually.
Step 3
Step 3

Step 4: Calculating the Target Zone (PRZ)

Now it gets exciting. You have identified X, A, B, and C. Where is the entry (Point D)?

  • Enter the value for "BD Extension" (e.g., 1.649).
  • As soon as these three values (XB, AC, BD) are set, the indicator switches to Projection Mode.
  • In the panel, you will now see the "XD Target" displayed behind the remaining valid patterns.
  • Example in the image:  For a "Max Butterfly", the price must now run to a 1.272 or 1.618 extension of the XA leg.
  • You now know exactly where your Limit Order needs to be placed.
Step 4
Step 4

Step 5: Final Validation

The price has reached your target. Is the pattern valid?

  • Enter the final value into "XD Total" (e.g., 1.363).
  • The indicator calculates a Quality Score (e.g., 100.0% or 98.1%).
  • The panel turns Green (high probability) or Orange (caution advised), based on the accuracy of all four points combined.

The Core: Understanding the Precision Display

A harmonic pattern is rarely "perfect". The question is always: How large is the deviation?  The MTC Harmonic Ratio Helper visualizes this with a unique bar graph system in the info panel.

How to read the codes:

  1. The Bullseye (Perfect Match): XB: [----#----] The hash # sits exactly in the middle or well within the brackets. Your measured value corresponds exactly or almost exactly to the textbook ideal.
  2. The Warning (Value Too Low): AC: # [---------] (!) (-2.1%)
  3. The hash # is located outside to the left of the bracket.
  4. The (!) exclamation mark signals: Attention, tolerance limit reached!
  5. The percentage value (e.g., -2.1%) tells you: Your Point C is 2.1% shorter than the defined minimum for this pattern.
  6. The Warning (Value Too High): XD: [---------] # (!) (+1.5%)
  7. The hash # is located outside to the right.
  8. Your Point D has shot past the target (here by +1.5%)
Why is this important?
Many traders lose money because they trade patterns that look "kind of similar" to a Gartley. With this display, you see immediately in black and white: "This pattern looks good visually, but Point C misses the rule by 4%." – This is your signal to reduce risk or skip the trade entirely.

The possible PRZs are automatically displayed in the chart after entering the price.
